![]() ![]() Im sorry to break it to you homeslice but they're called the seven deadly sins for a reason, lust is hard defined as a desire for sexual pleasure or sexual desire for another person. If we think in Lust as "desire for sex", the power goes to a place that makes me uncomfortable. Ohh your that guy, dude it looks like you made a post high on ecstasy since it had zero context. I'm working on a magic named Corruption (I think you seen one of my posts earlier: "Chameleons of Envy"). You don't need to search other things, just examine what you already know. These sound silly, but work in the concept a bit and you have something original, interesting and cool. Tie earth? What about a power that instead of throwing rocks let you heal them and things that are made of them? Or that let you build bridges by tying two cliffs. "Cut time" and you have King Crimson of Jojo's (yeah, nobody understands King Crimson but tell me it was not interesting).īut what about bleed fire? Or break time? Give time? I mean, there are lots of other verbs that you can use that will lead you to limited but interesting powers:Ĭut, bleed, grow, tie, blow, give, break, build. "Fire/Earth/Time/Lust/Gravity-manipulation" I feel like they are telling me "you can do anything with this" but when you can do anything, you fall in a comfort zone, and this applied to a magic system often leads to people having different things that they can manipulate, but they do the same things with different skins (not always, just often). My problem (or not exactly "problem" but something I find boring) is when you use "manipulation" to describe a power: If we think in Lust as "desire for immaterial things", as opposed and related to Avarice. If we think in Lust as "desire for pleasure" it can be a power to attract things. ![]() If we think in Lust as "desire for sex", the power goes to a place that makes me uncomfortable. Like when defining envy I reached the conclusion to "desire what others have" led me to a power to steal Identity, maybe that line of thinking can be useful. The power is not exactly fueled by Lust, Lust is just the key to use the power. What does a lustful person wanna do when feeling like it? Equally monstrous but interesting that makes them still feel like monsters. Maybe something like a Siren Song, or Pheromones, but that's like inducing Lust in others, and a bit boring compared with the Stealing Identity of Chameleons of Envy. These Plagues can absorb Miasma when they feel that Negative Emotion, and the same is used to fuel the magic. And you're transformed into a specific type of plague depending of the Negative Emotion that driven your sin (Wrath, Cowardice, Envy, Lust). Transform rejection into (depression, rage, scorn)īasically this system transforms you into a monster, a Plague, when you commit a sin (a sin is defined as "an act you cannot forgive yourself for". ![]() Summon creatures/monsters related to love, lust, or sex (dryads, ghost of a lover, incubi, lust spirits, nymphs, satyrs, succubi) If the target lust after (someone, something), you can alter the target of that lust so they lust after a different (person, thing) Shapeshifting to match the appearance of (someone, some race, some body type) that the other person is attracted to Sense the object of someone's desire (person, creature, thing, activity, event, etc) Sense sexual acts (masturbation, one on one, orgy, etc) ![]() Sense afterglow - ability to tell when anyone has had sex recently Scry on someone that lust after you / Scry on someone that lust after the (person, thing) that you are touching Possess a target that is in a sexual act / Possess a target that lust after (someone, something) Hypnotic (dance, gaze, scent, singing, voice, etc) Target may also temporarily forget things they were supposed to be doing Target will be so focused on the object of their desire that they fail to notice their environment or other things going on around them.
